The right track for everybody
You can glide along the sunny valley tracks in the region breathing in the very essence of the winter landscape itself. The high tracks have many ascents are more demanding, but the payoff is wide views over the Dolomites. There are circular tracks, tracks linked up by the FIS, and training tracks maintained by ski schools. Whichever stretch you choose, you will always have the best-prepared tracks under your skis that take you into the heart of this beautiful landscape. Two valleys in the Kronplatz region are particularly popular among cross-country skiers. The first is the Gsiesertal where there is an annual event with 2,500 participants skiing 42 km. There is also the highly entertaining Gsieser Knödelmarathon that takes place on the superb network of tracks in the valley. In the Antholzer Tal, which is one of the places where the World Biathlon Championships take place, there are around 30 km of ski tracks. In approximately equal proportions, they cover easy, medium and difficult terrain. Cross-country skiing in Pustertal offers thousands of possibilities.
